Do you like playing our Infinite Quest board game? And thought it would be cool to play this game on-line? Then we have some good news for you: IT CAN BE DONE!!! We have created a forum where the game can be played. Now you can create a character, join a party of fellow adventurers and go on a quest to write history in Calania. There will be some adjusted rules to fit the game rules into forum play of course. Once you have registered, created your character and are assigned to a player group, you can download the manual in the forum itself. Your Charactersheet will be send to you by E-mail, once you have introduced your character in your Party's board. After registering, the board master will send you an e-mail with the party you are assigned to. 

However: There are some restricting rules to participate in this RPG on-line forum. So before you register, please read them, so you won't get disappointed. 

- I see only a few boards in this forum. Why is that?
You can only see the game forum (called the Arena), when you are assigned to one of the parties. You can only see the Arena of the group you’re in. We did this to ensure everybody’s privacy and to protect the participant’s copyright and to prevent cheating. Your IP is logged, so don't try to register under different usernames to get access to one of the other adventures. You will be banned if this is discovered.

- I joined up. What now?
Our administrator will notify you in which party you are going to be classified and which adventure you are going to play. In this message you will also be given the choice of the occupation for your character that are still available for this adventure. E-mail back your class of choice and you will be assigned to your party. The group must always consist of 1 Magical character (magician, sorcerer, sorceress etc,), 1 Fighter character (Dwarf, Knight, Mercenary, etc.) and 1 thief character (Thief or rogue). The other 2 characters can be free choice. So if you want to play the second magician, or second thief: it can be done. We will always try to put you in a group where you can play your favorite character of choice.

Important note:
By registering to this forum, you commit yourself to participate in the party you will be assigned to. You must reply at least once a week and preferably more.

- What does this mean?
By registering to this forum, you declare to register only for the purpose of playing our forum game. This will seem a bit harsh, but there’s nothing more disappointing for your fellow players than someone who is not committed and comes and goes when he wants. Because of the turn-base structure of the game, your input is needed to make any progress in the adventure you’re playing (both for the GM and the other players).
So if you think you cannot commit yourself to your fellow players, please don’t register for the adventuring part of this forum (but miss out all the fun). In a way, joining this forum would be the same as joining a “real” adventuring party with a real Dungeon/Games master and players around a table. You commit yourself to your fellow party members and you need each other to survive the dangers you are going to face.

- What’s the point of registering then?
By registering you can participate in the other boards of this forum, or you could register for the Infinite Forum and discuss Fantasy and RPG in general. This Infinite RPG forum is only intended to discuss this forum game and related topics. If you register (and don’t intend to participate in the game itself), please PM or e-mail the administrator and state you have only registered to participate in the normal boards. This way you will not be assigned to an adventuring party, but are free to post and reply in the boards.

- Why these harsh rules then?
We have our reasons to put up these rules. In our other forum (the Infinite Forum) we have noticed that most people register and never post or participate in discussions. Don’t get me wrong (most people feel the urge to be a part of some kind of community), but for the webmasters and moderators this can be quite frustrating. They put in a lot of time and effort to make their forums and boards a nice pass time for everyone. It would be nice for them to get some reactions in return for their input. They don’t do this (just) for themselves, but mostly to give people platforms to make themselves heard and ventilate their opinions about certain subjects. The reason why we think this forum should be approached differently is explained above (what does this mean?).

If you are still here and read this far, means you have the guts to commit yourself. Good for you. You are very welcome to sign up and prepare for a world of magic and adventure.

- I have decided to register. What now?
When you have registered you have to do one more thing. You decide what kind of character you want to play. They can be found on this page, (Professions in Calania) including a brief description. Once you have done this, our administrator will assign you to one of the playing parties and when there are five of you, the game will start.

Remember that you have to submit your character of choice within 1 week after registering or your account will be deleted.
